aaPanel PHP website
1. Create site
Website → Add site
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Domain | doc.walterdevos.be |
| Root | /www/wwwroot/walterjandoc |
| PHP | 8.1+ |
| Pure static | Off |
2. Upload / Git
Put the project in the site root so these exist:
index.php.htaccesscontent/assets/lib/templates/
3. Apache rewrite
Enable rewrite for the site. The bundled .htaccess routes all requests to index.php.
4. Permissions
chown -R www:www /www/wwwroot/walterjandoc
5. SSL
Issue a certificate for doc.walterdevos.be in the site SSL tab.
No Node, no PM2, no Mapping, no reverse proxy.
6. Auto-deploy from GitHub (webhook)
aaPanel Git Manager can expose a deploy hook. On each push to main, GitHub Actions calls that hook so the server runs git pull.
- In aaPanel site → Git Manager, copy the webhook URL (includes
access_key+site_id). - On GitHub: repo → Settings → Secrets and variables → Actions
- New secret name:
AAPANEL_DEPLOY_WEBHOOK - Value: the full webhook URL (keep it private — never commit it)
Workflow file: .github/workflows/deploy.yml
Treat the access key like a password. If it was pasted in chat or committed, regenerate it in aaPanel and update the secret.
